Workshop lino printing on textiles (English)

In this workshop, we’ll explore lino printing on textiles by carving, printing, repeating, and combining designs to ultimately print your own wearable universe. Lino printing is an accessible printmaking technique that has long been used to create and share personal images and stories. By printing on fabrics or clothes, you can transform everyday textiles into something uniquely your own.
The workshop is inspired by Elfi’s artistic practice, in which they create an ever-growing army of strange creatures, mythical beings, and familiar objects. By printing these characters onto clothing, they build a personal universe that can be worn on the body: a collection of symbols that decorate, accompany, and protect the wearer. During the workshop, you’ll be invited to imagine your own visual language: What creatures, objects, or symbols would you surround yourself with? What world would you like to carry with you?
You can create a repeating pattern on fabric, refresh an old garment, or exchange stamps with others to let different worlds meet. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced makers.
